From our kitchens

We are Hutten. We started out in 1929 as a bakery. Today, we provide food, beverage, and hospitality services at many locations, including your organisation! Our teamworkers lead the way with their boundless energy to add value and give meaning to our clients, suppliers, each other, and society. You are our top priority, and we want you to leave feeling great because our friendliness and hospitality come straight from the heart. We create spaces where people connect and where delicious, fine food is just as essential as personal service.

NEW! Bread made of 100% Dutch grain

Our new Dutch wheat bread is a tasteful whole grain bread made of 100% Dutch grain. For this locally produced bread we don’t have to get our ingredients from different countries and we make sure that our certified farmers improve the soil health and enlarge biodiversity. It’s not only good for the world around us, but also for you! The breads are a natural source of fiber and even high in fiber!

Homemade sandwich salads & spreads

We don’t only want to prepare delicious food, but we want to provide quality food. Our sandwich spreads contain less animal proteins. We replaced these with vegetables. Plantpowerrr!

Taste comes from within! In De Verspillingsfabriek, we make our soup using ingredients that otherwise would have been discarded, prepared by people at a distance from the labour market – because we hate to see talent go to waste!

Sweet & savoury bakery

Our bakers are hard of hearing, so they’re not big on words, but they’re very good with their hands. They bake the most delicious sweet treats, such as banana bread from overripe bananas and pumpkin muffins with no less than 30% pumpkin. But they also make savoury snacks, such as our handmade sausage rolls made with sustainably grown oyster mushrooms.

Cold drinks

Straight off the press! Our apple juice is pressed and bottled as soon as the apples leave the orchard for a deliciously sweet and refreshing flavour without additives! Our milk and buttermilk are also ultra-fresh because the cows graze right next to the dairy. Delicious!

Coffee

We care about good coffee. We want the best flavour and highest quality with origins that we can trace from berry to bean. Our search for the finest coffee beans took us to Colombia and Brazil. That’s where the finest Arabica coffee beans are grown. The slow roasting of our blends takes place at a local coffee roaster using traditional processes. The packaging is carried our by our talented heroes who are at a distance from the labour market. Coffee can’t get any better than this!

Hutten Culinair Centrum

We love homemade foods; that is culinary craftsmanship. We also want to know where our ingredients come from. With those ingredients, we make almost everything ourselves; in our traditional kitchen, our care bakery, and De Verspillingsfabriek. We are the only caterer in the Netherlands to have a centre for culinary craftsmanship: a 1400-m2 kitchen where we prepare our dishes by hand 24/7 for all our restaurants and locations. Every day, we make fresh salads and spreads for our sandwiches, fresh to-go products (chef’s salads, fruit and veggie pots, ready-made sandwiches, grilled cheese sandwiches, wraps, side salads and desserts) and a variety of international dishes for when you have to work overtime or don’t have time to cook yourself.

Our care bakery 

Most of the bakers in our care bakery are hard of hearing. So they’re not big on words, but they’re very good with their hands, which they use to communicate and to knead, roll and bake all that homemade goodness. It always smells delicious there. Wonderfully sweet when they bake biscuits, muffins, brownies or our banana bread from rescued, overripe bananas. Deliciously spicy when our sausage rolls are in the oven. Or... that chocolate smell! Because our patisserie works with the most fragrant chunks of pure chocolate and prepares mouth-watering bonbons with surprising fillings. We bake the world a better place; taste the difference!

De Verspillingsfabriek

De Verspillingsfabriek makes tasty soups and sauces from fresh left-over ingredients from vegetable processors, farmers and growers. A shipment of damaged courgettes, onions that are too small, knobbly pumpkins, cauliflower and broccoli cuttings, spotty bell peppers... the factory knows what to do with those! They make products bursting with goodness: more fresh vegetables, no artificial preservatives with E-numbers, and lots and lots of herbs and spices. A large part of the team is made up of people who have challenges entering the labour market, but the only labels you’ll find here are the ones that go on the packaging. They think in terms of opportunities because we hate to let talent go to waste. 

Our products are reflective of our distinguishing qualities. They are daily evidence of the way we think and act and who we want to be. Our products are made from responsibly produced ingredients and always taste excellent. Because we want to be a market leader, our products will always have to be better and tell the entire story. We strive to do this every day.
